Selection Process
The competitive recruitment process comprises three sequential stages. The Commission reserves discretion to conduct examinations via OMR or CBRE (Computer Based Recruitment Examination) mode. A Normalisation Formula shall be applied if examinations are conducted across multiple batches using distinct question paper sets.

Both the Preliminary and Main Examinations shall be conducted in Odia and English (except the language paper in the Main Exam). The technical paper subject, once selected, is irrevocable. Stage IIb — Computer Skill Test
All posts, except Inspector of Legal Metrology (FS&CW), Laboratory Assistant (FS&CW), Junior Laboratory Assistant (Factories & Boilers), and Junior Laboratory Assistant (State Food Testing Lab under Commissioner of Food Safety), must qualify the Computer Skill Test.
