Who Should NOT Apply

  • Non-Indian citizens, or those unable to read, write, and speak Odia fluently and lacking the requisite Odia language proof certificate
  • Candidates whose educational qualification, discipline, or specialisation does not precisely match the post-wise requirements
  • Those falling outside the 21–42 years age band as on 01.01.2025, without entitlement to category-based relaxation — even by a single day
  • Candidates not possessing the requisite educational qualification by 11 July 2026 (last date of application submission)

  • Selecting posts for which you lack the exact prescribed educational qualification, particularly for posts requiring an Honours degree or a specific percentage threshold (e.g., 50% for Librarian posts) or CGPA conversion formula
  • Choosing an incorrect subject option for the Senior Economic Investigator technical paper — this selection is final and irrevocable
  • Entering erroneous or incomplete bank account details (Account Number, IFSC Code) for examination fee refund
  • Providing an inactive or incorrect email ID or mobile number — all official communications, including Admission Letters, are disseminated exclusively via registered contact details and the OSSC website
  • Submitting multiple applications — if duplicate registrations are detected, all applications will be rejected and candidature cancelled
  • OBC/SEBC candidates from the Creamy Layer claiming SEBC reservation — only Non-Creamy Layer SEBC candidates are entitled to reservation benefits
  • Uploading blurred or illegible photograph or signature — such applications are liable for rejection
  • Failing to upload required degree/mark sheet certificates — educational qualification documents are mandatory for shortlisting
  • Altering category or special category details after final submission — no such modifications are entertained under any circumstances
  • Submitting applications after the closing date of 11 July 2026 — OSSC strongly advises applying well in advance to circumvent last-minute connectivity or server congestion issues
